Chili & Clam Chowder Fest

Come on down to the Sluice with your homemade chili or clam chowder. An evening of good food and drink. BYOB of course. Save October 15, 2011.  Last year’s fest was fun.

Polar Bear Club

They did it again! With the water temperature of 38 degrees and the air temperature of 25 degrees, they jumped into the cold water at the Sluice. What a way to begin the year! A large number of people observed. 

Small Crafts 

    A numbered EHC sticker will be put on each member’s dinghy/kayak at the Sluice. In this way we can keep track of who belongs here. A data sheet will be available and filled out before a sticker will be put on your craft. We have a few more to go. Contact Barbara.

Beach

    Again, if you see an unauthorized party at the Sluice, call the Suffolk Police if necessary. We all are getting tired of cleaning up after kids. By locking the gate every night we seem to have things under control thanks to Paul Adair, Jonathan Halpern, Maureen Murphy, Shawn and Stelanie Poalillo. If you want to volunteer call Stelanie Poalillo. Keys for the beach gate can be obtained from me for $2. Happy New Year!

Annual Holiday Party

The venue and date for our 7th Annual Holiday Party is still undetermined. Notices will be sent out a lot earlier this year.

Summer Cocktail Party

The summer’ cocktail party was well attended. We may have more this summer. BYOB and a snack. We will notify you of future dates.
